Citroën C3: a special farewell series in Japan


The Citroën C3 thanks to Japan

To celebrate the end of the marketing of the current generation of the C3, Citroën is launching a limited series of farewells with a nice nod to this very successful generation. The C3 Merci! is a limited edition to mark the end of production of the C3 for the Japanese market, making this edition particularly special and sought after.



The C3 Merci! is extremely limited, with only 70 units available, and will be available at Citroën dealerships across Japan at a price of 3,233,000 yen or €18,500. Since its launch in Japan in 2017, the C3 has sold around 10,000 units, cementing its place in the hearts of Japanese drivers. The announcement that production will cease in April 2024 makes this model even more desirable, as it represents the last opportunity for Japanese enthusiasts to own this iconic car.


The C3 Limited Edition Merci! is distinguished by its exclusive features. It features 17-inch alloy wheels, Advanced Comfort seats partially upholstered in Tep leather and a wood veneer dashboard, offering an elegant combination of comfort and style. The body colour "Sand" has been chosen for this edition because of its popularity and adds a touch of refinement to this unique model. Citroën has carefully selected these features to appeal to discerning drivers and offer an exceptional driving experience, paying homage to the C3's heritage in Japan.


A special event to celebrate the launch of the C3 Merci!

To mark this exceptional launch, Citroën is organising a special event, the "Salon C3 Merci!", which will take place on 6 and 7 July. This exclusive event, which will take place in authorised Citroën dealerships, promises to be an essential meeting place for fans of the brand. Participants can register via the dedicated website and five people from each dealership will be selected at random to receive a unique gift during their visit. This gift, a vanilla diamond biscuit, underlines the attention Citroën pays to its customers and offers an enriching and memorable experience.


At the same time, a social media campaign will run from 1 July to 31 July 2024. C3 owners and enthusiasts are invited to share photos of their car using the hashtag "#C3Merci" for a chance to win a Citroën 2CV beach towel. Three participants will be drawn to receive this gift. The aim of this initiative is to celebrate the Citroën community and reinforce the commitment of the brand's fans, while promoting the limited edition C3 Merci! in the digital world.
