Citroën is actively continuing its investment and commitment to the world of cycling, a sport that shares many fundamental values with the brand, such as accessibility, proximity to people, and a growing awareness of sustainable mobility. To further materialize this affinity, Citroën is participating once again in the ë-Giro, the cycling event running concurrently with the prestigious Giro d'Italia. This strategic approach allows the brand to highlight its range of electric and electrified vehicles, building on its dynamism in this market segment where it has distinguished itself, notably achieving a leadership position in April 2025.

Citroën's participation at the heart of the ë-Giro 2025

The Giro-E 2025 kicked off on May 13th in Ostuni, marking Citroën's return as a key player in this unique event. Born in 2019, the Giro-E is much more than just a cycling race; it is an innovative experience focused on electric bikes. Its amateur and non-competitive nature aims to raise awareness among a wide audience about the crucial challenges of energy transition and sustainable mobility. Thanks to pedal assistance, participants, even without professional-level training, can tackle routes and climbs usually reserved for the champions of the Giro d'Italia, thus sharing the legendary finish line of the Corsa Rosa.

The 2025 edition of the ë-Giro unfolds over a total of 18 stages, covering a cumulative distance of 1091.9 kilometers with a significant total elevation gain of 19,650 meters. Citroën is actively participating in this event by partnering with the "FLY Citroën" team. This collaboration goes beyond simple sponsorship; it embodies a shared mission to raise awareness about sustainability. Specifically, Citroën is providing a fleet of hybrid and electrified vehicles that serve the organization throughout the stages. This operational presence demonstrates once again the concrete passion the Brand holds for this popular sport and its values.

The electrified range and the new ë-C3 Aircross in the spotlight

Participation in the ë-Giro 2025 is the perfect opportunity for Citroën to emphasize the importance of electrification in its current and future strategy. The brand is resolutely committed to making electric mobility accessible to as many people as possible, and this ambition is reflected in a now complete electrified range, capable of meeting a diversity of needs and uses. From the Ami quadricycle, a pioneer of accessible urban mobility, to the ë-C3 compact car in the B-segment, and including the versatile B-segment and C-segment SUVs, the C3 Aircross and C5 Aircross, Citroën offers accessible, versatile, and resolutely forward-looking mobility solutions.

At the heart of Citroën's presence at the ë-Giro 2025 is a vehicle that is particularly highlighted: the New ë-C3 Aircross SUV. Customized in the colors of the "FLY Citroën" team, it accompanies the participants on the Italian roads in its electrified versions. The arrival of this model is an important milestone for the brand, as it is its first 100% electric compact SUV offered in the highly competitive B-SUV segment, and it comes in a much-anticipated five-seater configuration.

In parallel with this event, Citroën Italy is also offering an interesting commercial initiative to celebrate sustainable mobility on two and four wheels. Throughout the duration of the ë-Giro, starting from May 13th, potential customers can benefit from exclusive advantages. By downloading a dedicated voucher from the citroen.it website and visiting an official dealership for a test drive of an electrified version (hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or electric) of the New C3 Aircross SUV, New C4, New C4 X, C5 Aircross SUV, and C5 X, an additional 200 Euro discount is granted at the time of purchase. A concrete incentive to discover and adopt electric or electrified mobility.

Citroën's renewed participation in the ë-Giro 2025 perfectly illustrates the brand's acceleration on the path towards electrification. By associating itself with this event focused on gentle and sustainable mobility, Citroën is not only highlighting its complete range of electric and electrified vehicles, from quadricycles to family SUVs. It is also proving the efficiency and relevance of its electric models in real-world conditions, including over significant distances and varied routes like those encountered during the ë-Giro. This approach builds confidence in the daily use of these vehicles, including for long journeys, demonstrating that environmentally friendly mobility is already an accessible and high-performing reality with Citroën. The notable presence of the New ë-C3 Aircross on Italian roads underscores the brand's ambition to electrify key segments such as that of compact SUVs, thus making the energy transition increasingly tangible and desirable for a broad customer base.
