Citroën and Team Germany: An Electrified Fleet for the Olympic Games

The Citroën C5 Aircross of the German Olympic team

A few weeks ago, we reported on the new partnership between Citroën and the German Olympic team for the 2026 and 2028 seasons. This collaboration is now a reality. Last Friday, the brand delivered the first 16 vehicles of a total fleet of 20 to the "Team D." The Citroën C5 Aircross was the top choice among the selected models, highlighting the brand's ability to provide comfort and versatility for high-level organizations.

Operational support for the German Sports Confederation

This delivery marks the official start of the partnership between Citroën and the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB). These vehicles will immediately support the daily operations of the DOSB, the German Disabled Sports Federation (DBS), and the German Sports Marketing Agency (DSM). This commitment, which runs until at least 2028, ensures that Citroën will be by the athletes' side during the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Milano-Cortina 2026 and Los Angeles 2028.

A versatile and sustainable fleet

The representatives of Team D were free to choose from Citroën’s entire range, from spacious shuttles to long-distance cruisers. The final fleet includes the Citroën Spacetourer, Berlingo, Jumpy, C4 X, and the new Citroën C5 Aircross. The C5 Aircross was particularly popular due to its spacious interior and advanced technology. The focus was deliberately placed on electrified and efficient vehicles to meet modern sustainability goals. Furthermore, the cars feature a unique livery matching the official adidas team apparel, creating a strong visual bond for the team.

Voices of the cooperation

Roman Franke, Marketing Director of Citroën Germany, stated: "Our commitment to Team Germany demonstrates our closeness to those who fight every day to achieve their goals, in sports as in everyday life. We are proud to provide vehicles that meet the association's needs: versatile, comfortable, and high-performing models."

Claudia Wagner, CEO of DSM, added: "Many thanks to Citroën for this remarkably elegant fleet. We will attract attention not only here in Germany but also in Milano-Cortina. We look forward to putting these vehicles on the road and realizing this partnership together."

A brand built on community

Citroën continues to position itself as an accessible and user-friendly brand. By supporting Team Germany, the manufacturer emphasizes community and cohesion over exclusivity. This partnership reflects the brand's desire to support human values such as determination and teamwork, proving once again that Citroën is a brand dedicated to people and their shared ambitions.
