Citroën presents the new electric ëC3 in India

Five months after the commercialization of thermal versions, Citroën draws the 100% electric version of its new C3 in India. The new ëC3 will be available for reservation in the next few days and will enter Indian dealerships next February.

Citroën is therefore determined to move quickly with this very first electric C3 in its history and which will therefore enter the Indian market next month with the firm intention of making Citroën one of the most accessible brands in electric vehicles.

For this, the brand offers a totally unknown motor-battery assembly in the electric vehicles of the Stellantis group until now. It is thus based on an original Svolt battery with a capacity of 29.2 kWh allowing it to offer a range of 320 kilometers, it is associated with a 57 hp electric motor for 143 Nm of torque allowing an acceleration of 0 to 60 km/h in 6.8 sec; for a maximum speed limited to 107 km/h. As far as charging is concerned, the new ëC3 is equipped with DC fast charging which allows it to recharge from 10 to 80% in 57 minutes while home charging is possible estimated at 10.5 hours to go from 10 to 100% battery with a household outlet. Two driving modes will be available (eco or standard), the new ëC3 gets the new ëToggle box command.

As the photos of the prototypes revealed to us, the charging hatch is located on the right front wing but, to limit investments and therefore costs, the fuel hatch remains visible on the left rear wing.

The new Citroën ëC3 can be reserved from January 22 and will enter the brand's dealerships next February, where it will lend a hand to the thermal versions to develop Citroën sales.
