The next generation C3 Aircross will be Citroën's big news for 2023, especially for non-European countries, which will see the second vehicle in the C-Cubed range arrive on their markets, with the aim of increasing Citroën's sales in these regions. After being surprised in Europe for cold weather tests, the future C3 Aircross was photographed in Latin America, which allows us to know a little more.
So this new series of photos shows a camouflage that still hides the main lines of the car, while revealing new details. This is particularly the case with the rear doors, where we can see very clearly that they will have a recess around the door handle, as the C3 already has in this area, although the rear doors of the C3 and the C3 Aircross will be different. The rear lights of the future C3 Aircross are also very much inspired by the Oli concept, as we can see the two horizontal louvres and the vertical lights in a very prominent arrangement, as in the brand's latest concept. It also seems that the future C3 Aircross will be the first vehicle to carry the new Citroën logo, which is not obvious in these photos as we find the typical notch on the bonnet.
However, this new series of photos is also related to an earlier photo, this time taken in India, which seems to indicate that the C3 Aircross could be available in two different lengths, but also in two versions with very different equipment. . Thus these photos, similar to those of the C3 Aircross surprised in Europe, show a classic aerial on the top of the windscreen and a rear, certainly vertical, but shorter than the last photo taken in India, as well as a tailgate that does not have a spoiler, unlike the Indian version.
We also note that this photo, taken in India, shows a larger rear overhang, a sign that it is probably the 7-seater version, which may not be offered in Europe. This future C3 Aircross could therefore be offered in two different lengths, depending on the number of passengers, but also that it could be more upmarket than the C3, since it gets a shark-antenna on certain versions, whereas the C3 is not entitled to it.
Citroën's next novelty is not yet finished with its surprises and between now and its launch, the fine-tuning sessions will allow us to learn more as the photos taken and the camouflage will appear. The future C3 Aircross is an eagerly awaited model for the development of the brand, it will strengthen Citroën in the B segment in Europe, which should allow it to see its sales pick up again.
