Citroën grows strongly in Austria thanks to commercial vehicles

The entire Citroën utility range

Utility vehicles are very important for Citroën in a market segment where the brand has been present almost since its inception. After a slump caused by various post-Covid shortages, Citroën is making a comeback, thanks in particular to its commercial vehicles, which recorded record growth in Austria in October.

After a particularly successful September for the brand in Austria, Citroën repeated this performance in October with very strong sales growth in the commercial vehicle segment. In fact, the brand increased its sales by 111% compared to the same period last year, with 158 units sold, giving the brand a market share of 5.3%, an increase of 1.4 percentage points compared to October 2022.

Martin RIHA, Head of Commercial Vehicles at Stellantis Austria, says: "We are delighted with the impressive sales figures for Citroën Commercial Vehicles in October. We are also very satisfied with the year to date. The strong demand for Citroën commercial vehicles shows the confidence our customers have in our products and services. We are proud to be able to meet the diverse needs of our business customers and look forward to continuing on this successful path together. "

For the year as a whole, Citroën increased its sales of commercial vehicles by 27.3%1 between January and October. This represents sales of 1,496 units 1 and a market share of 5.2% 1 in the current calendar year.

With the Berlingo, the Jumpy and the large Jumper, Citroën offers a wide and versatile range of commercial vehicles. With their recent restyling, which improves their style, comfort and technology, there is no doubt that the coming months will be profitable for the brand, which will be able to count on a revised range that is even more competitive and which, this time, will not suffer from production or logistical difficulties.
