The Citroën Jympy sold in Brazil

The Citroën Jumpy equipped with the 1.5 BlueHDi turbo-diesel engine has just won an important recognition at the Clean Mobility Award organised by Agência Autoinforme in Brazil. This award, which aims to promote the most efficient vehicles in terms of energy consumption, was presented during the second edition of this event at the Eletrolar Salon at the Transamérica Expo Centre in São Paulo.

The Jumpy was voted the best vehicle in the category Combustion - Commercial Diesel up to 1,600 cc, based on data from Inmetro's Brazilian Vehicle Labelling Programme (PBEV). With an impressive energy consumption of 2.17 MJ/km, the Jumpy beat 35 other brands and 975 models/versions evaluated in various categories, from electric to diesel.

The Jumpy's success is based on its efficient and economical engine. The 1.5 BlueHDi turbo-diesel engine offers balanced power and great fuel efficiency, with controlled consumption both in town and on the motorway. Mated to a six-speed gearbox, this engine offers short and precise gear changes, making city driving and long journeys easy. In addition to its mechanical performance, the Jumpy stands out for its versatility. It can be driven with a category B licence and has no traffic restrictions in Brazilian urban centres. Its 1,500 kg payload capacity and large luggage compartment, accessible via a sliding side door and 180º opening rear doors, make it the ideal vehicle for transport and logistics professionals.

Well-deserved recognition for the Citroën Jumpy

Winning the Clean Mobility Award for the Citroën Jumpy is not only a victory for the brand, but also a significant step forward for clean mobility in Brazil. João Irineu Medeiros, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for Stellantis in South America, took part in a panel discussion moderated by journalist Joel Leite during the award ceremony and stressed the importance of promoting more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly vehicles. This award underlines Citroën's commitment to offering innovative and sustainable transport solutions that meet the growing demand for energy efficiency in the automotive sector.

With this award, Autoinforme aims to raise awareness among Brazilian consumers of the benefits of energy-efficient vehicles. The Jumpy, with its advanced technical features and reduced cost of ownership, is an attractive option for companies looking to minimise their carbon footprint while optimising their logistics operations. The award also highlights the importance of technological innovation in the development of cleaner, more efficient engines. With the Jumpy, Citroën demonstrates that it is possible to combine power, versatility and respect for the environment, offering a viable and efficient alternative in the light commercial vehicle segment.

This recognition comes at a crucial time when environmental concerns and energy costs are driving more and more consumers and businesses to seek more sustainable solutions. The Citroën Jumpy, with its cutting-edge technology and remarkable performance, is positioned as a leader in the field of eco-commercial vehicles, ready to meet the current and future challenges of sustainable mobility.
