The Citroën Jumpy equipped with the 1.5 BlueHDi turbo-diesel engine has just won an important recognition at the Clean Mobility Award organised by Agência Autoinforme in Brazil. This award, which aims to promote the most efficient vehicles in terms of energy consumption, was presented during the second edition of this event at the Eletrolar Salon at the Transamérica Expo Centre in São Paulo.
The Jumpy was voted the best vehicle in the category Combustion - Commercial Diesel up to 1,600 cc, based on data from Inmetro's Brazilian Vehicle Labelling Programme (PBEV). With an impressive energy consumption of 2.17 MJ/km, the Jumpy beat 35 other brands and 975 models/versions evaluated in various categories, from electric to diesel.
The Jumpy's success is based on its efficient and economical engine. The 1.5 BlueHDi turbo-diesel engine offers balanced power and great fuel efficiency, with controlled consumption both in town and on the motorway. Mated to a six-speed gearbox, this engine offers short and precise gear changes, making city driving and long journeys easy. In addition to its mechanical performance, the Jumpy stands out for its versatility. It can be driven with a category B licence and has no traffic restrictions in Brazilian urban centres. Its 1,500 kg payload capacity and large luggage compartment, accessible via a sliding side door and 180º opening rear doors, make it the ideal vehicle for transport and logistics professionals.
