With her co-driver Lucie Engová and her Duckar team, she took up the challenge of this extreme competition in a Citroën 2CV, far from the most suitable vehicle for such a rally. Her story is above all one of passion and of a community loyal to the brand.
"Every meeting with fans, friends and "ducklings" reminds me that I made the right decision at the beginning when Ollie Roučková gave me the chance to take part in the Dakar Classic with his team. I chose the Citroën brand, which has been with me from the very beginning of my racing career. And the fact that I chose the 2CV, probably the least suitable car for such a race, was destiny. Happy fate". "It has given me a wonderful cooperation with the Citroën brand and, above all, a huge fan base for this brand in the Czech Republic and all over the world. The Citroën fan community is incredibly close and friendly, and they love the original and new technologies of the car manufacturer. It's an honour to be an ambassador not only for Citroën, but also for this whole community," says Barbora Holická.

In the spirit of the Dakar, Citroën has given her free rein to personalise her C3, which will have a design reminiscent of the legendary twin-engined 2CV Sahara.
"I am really looking forward to the new C3. It's a compact and agile car, yet comfortable for long journeys. And I need it, as I often make long journeys like Prague-Ostrava-Prague in one day. And I'm even happier that the C3 bears the Duckarka logo, this year's Dakar 2CV, designed by Josef Rataj," adds Barbora Holická.
