In recent years, Citroën has stopped offering sports versions, as the brand wants to emphasise comfort, and the GT, GTi, VTS and other versions are no longer in line with the values that Citroën is currently trying to defend. However, there are still a few places in the world where this idea makes sense, including Australia, which will soon get a C5 Aircross Sport.

During the first half of the year, the Citroën C5 Aircross will therefore make its debut in Australia in its restyled version, which will therefore take the name C5 Aircross Sport, the only level of finish offered on the brand's large SUV and which has no real sporting pretensions.

In fact, this new restyled version inherits, in addition to the aesthetic differences common to our European version, technical modifications with the adoption of a new four-cylinder petrol engine of 180 bhp to replace the old version limited to 165 bhp. In addition, this new engine (which is our old 180 bhp engine offered in Europe) is mated to the EAT8 gearbox instead of the 6-speed automatic gearbox used previously.
