6 August 2024 marked a milestone in Stellantis' commitment to sustainable mobility with the delivery of a fleet of 55 100% electric vehicles to Acciona. This action is part of the Madrid 360 programme, which aims to improve the sustainability of the Spanish capital's urban infrastructure.
Acciona, a renowned company in the development and management of sustainable infrastructure, has received 31 units of the Peugeot E-Partner, E-Rifter and E-Expert models, as well as 24 units of the Citroën ë-Berlingo and New ë-C3. This initiative is not just a delivery of vehicles, but a significant step towards a future where urban mobility is synonymous with zero emissions. The vehicles have been specially selected to meet the strict requirements of the Madrid 360 programme, which requires an all-electric fleet for environmental reasons.
It is important to note that this delivery is the first for the new ë-C3 in Spain since its launch. A first order that demonstrates the growing confidence in the model and allows the C3 to assert itself as the preferred choice for companies and local authorities looking to combine electric performance with everyday practicality. This development reflects a growing trend towards the adoption of electric technologies within business fleets, placing the new ë-C3 at the forefront of the transition to more sustainable mobility in Spain. This delivery underlines Stellantis' commitment not only to meeting the specific needs of companies such as Acciona, but also to supporting local initiatives for a greener and cleaner city.
Towards sustainable mobility: Stellantis' commitment
By supplying these electric vehicles, Stellantis is reaffirming its commitment to sustainable mobility, in line with its Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan. This ambitious plan aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2038, a goal that guides the Group's innovation and development of new electrified vehicles. The models delivered, including the Peugeot E-Partner, E-Rifter and E-Expert, as well as the Citroën ë-Berlingo and the new ë-C3, are designed to deliver uncompromising performance while meeting the strictest standards for reducing CO2 emissions.
The fleet delivered to Acciona is a key link in the sustainable mobility chain for Madrid and is part of a broader approach to urban transformation. Each vehicle is equipped with high-capacity batteries that ensure not only sufficient autonomy but also remarkable energy efficiency. With a range of up to 350 km for the Utility models and 300 km for the new ë-C3, the vehicles are perfectly suited to everyday needs, while helping to reduce the carbon footprint of urban operations. By investing in these technologies, Stellantis and Acciona are paving the way for an era in which electric vehicles are no longer an option, but the norm, supporting the vision of cleaner, greener mobility.
