Citroën C3 Aircross Coupé: the future SUV coupé reveals a little more

The future Citroën C3 Aircross coupe being tested on the road

After the C3 and C3 Aircross, Citroën is preparing to launch the third part of its C-Cubed programme: a new SUV-coupé that will lead the brand's range in India and Latin America. This model, which once again surprised us during testing, offers us a clearer view of its lines while keeping the secret of its rear end.

Launched in 2020, the C-Cubed programme aims to develop three specific B-segment vehicles to conquer the Indian and Latin American markets. This strategy responds to Citroën's need to continue its growth outside Europe, where the market is stagnating.

Initially, this third car was to be a notchback saloon to replace the C-Elysée. However, Citroën opted for a 5-seater SUV coupé derived from the C3 Aircross. This choice made it possible to offer a more dynamic silhouette while maintaining generous space for five occupants.

An SUV coupé that combines dynamism and comfort

As the photos above confirm, the C3 Aircross Coupé will adopt the front bonnet and front doors of the C3 Aircross. The changes will be to the rear doors, which will adopt a more recessed line to create a more fluid and dynamic silhouette. Citroën has made an effort to camouflage the rear of the car, revealing particularly elaborate rear lights. This detail confirms the brand's desire to move upmarket with this model, unlike the standard C3 and C3 Aircross, which were designed to meet tight budgets, particularly in India. Since the beginning of the year, Citroën has made numerous announcements in India to strengthen the equipment of the C3 and C3 Aircross, bringing them in line with market standards and customer expectations. This strategy aims to strengthen the brand's position in this growing market.

The development of the C3 Aircross Coupé is part of Citroën's ambitious growth strategy. This model, expected in the coming weeks, will allow the brand to offer a more diversified range of compact SUVs in India and Latin America. It will also be an indicator of the future development of the C3 and C3 Aircross in these key markets.
